There are very few people in media industry who has become media entrepreneur starting as a junior reporter in media. Mr. Janak Raj Pant is Owner & Chairman of TV Today Network (TV Today HD and TV One HD) is among few of them . Mr. Pant with his dedicated career in media has now been creating media employment and doing successful business. Mr. Pant now is a well known personality in Nepalese television industry.

Mr. Pant is providing leadership to this television since its commencement. Mr. Pant who has studied MA in Broadcast journalism is a devoted professional in development journalism. In addition to journalist, Mr. Pant is media manager as well. He has a decade of experience in TV journalism. Starting his career from production house as cameraperson Pant is among few to establish a media company by himself . He produced hundreds of TV programs, audiovisual documentaries and other media content. Before establishing his own company Pant worked for Channel Nepal, Image Television, NTV, NTV + and few others as program producer.

Working with these televisions Mr. Pant gained important knowledge about media marketing, media production, media business and different dimensions of media especially television. His experience to work with Mountain Television as Founder MD/CEO also made him more polished and dedicated toward successful management of a TV Channel. As a young, energetic and enthusiastic journalist Pant dreamed to run his own TV, specialized on development issues.  His dream materialized after successful establishment and operation of TV Today HD. Later Pant established TV One HD as second venture of TV Today Network. Pant signally owns both this television without any promoting partners. His professional, efficient, effective and clear direction to establish this institution has paid for the benefit of people. Able and efficient staff line has be a major support.

Since Mr. Pant has deep knowledge in development issues, he envisions the television to establish as pioneer TV channel of Nepal for development sector issues. Mr. Pant has attained Masters Degree in Broadcast Journalism from India. He has commanding knowledge over TV technology, media content, media ethics, and social responsibility of media. Long experiences in diverse field of media has given him matured knowledge in practical field of media.  Both theoretical and practical knowledge adds the value to promote this kind of television. Being from remote rural area, Darchula District, Nepal his achievement in the field is noteworthy.
